Being Human

July 20th, 2010

Hollywood isn't as robotic as you may think. And that's a fact.

I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Mad Max has lost his mind. Mel Gibson has been all over headlines recently for his phone confrontations, and alleged physical abuse, with his ex, homewrecker Oksana Grigorieva.

Admit it- you've played the tapes and laughed at his craziness. I know I was rollin' when he could barely breathe he was so pissed. Or when he actually said he should get a blow job before hittin' the jacuzzi.

Full of himself, isn't he?

But I'm not here to talk about who's right, who's wrong, and why he did the things he did. I'm not here to defend him either. That's where the gossip blogs come in. If you're looking for an argument, go elsewhere. I'm here to remind the public that these people- these celebrities- that we portray as beautifully perfect, are not. They're human.

How do we know that Oksana didn't do things to push him over the edge? Think about your significant other. The fights you've had. The things you've said and done when you're angry. I'm sure that there were times that, if you had been recorded, you'd later be embarassed by your actions.

The same goes true with many issues in Hollywood. The infamous Lindsay Lohan. There are thousands of troubled teens on the planet that turn into shitty adults. She's a good example. Then there's the criticism Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie receive for having children without being married. At least they're not on welfare. And how could we forget the recent tax woes of Nicholas Cage. Even I've had to fight with the IRS.

The point is this- they're human. We're human. We're all born the same way, we all work at our jobs, and we all run into trouble occasionally. We just tend to forget this when it comes to our favorite celebrities.

Think about that the next time you fuck up and someone throws around your dirty laundry.

Peace, Love and Heartbreak ♥
A
