First, it was all about the scary moments. But I quickly realized that everyone and their mama had a scary movie moment list. So I decided to take it to the next level-
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GORIEST HORROR MOVIE MOMENT?
Are you a SAW fanatic? Is Wes Craven your favorite director? Do you love yourself some Victor Crowley?
Whatever you dream of (or causes you nightmares), it's more than likely on this list. Along with a number of contributors- from bloggers, to family, to friends, to previous lists- I have compiled an extensive list of memorable gore-fests that are sure to please.
So how can you participate?
Read the list. Vote for your favorite moment either by comment or email (andreaalbin@yahoo.com). And let me know WHY you picked that moment. Who knows, if you give me something witty I may include it in my upcoming article for Bloody-Disgusting.com!
Here we go! In no particular order...
Hostel II (2007)
A bloodthirsty mistress covers herself in Lorna's blood, orgasming from the pleasure it brings.
Scream (1996)
Casey Becker bites the dust after being tortured by the Ghostface killer. Frontiers (2007)
A man meets his fate courtesy of a table equipped with a saw. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Tina is split open during a nightmare, tossed around the room, and thrown into a pool of her own blood- all while her boyfriend watches from the corner of their bedroom. Hatchet (2006)
Victor Crowley splits Mrs. Permatteo's face straight down the middle- literally. Marie strikes back at the killer using a homemade weapon of barbed wire and wood.
Marcy shaves her legs- revealing a clean cut, and patches of missing skin.
Uncle Frank is pulled to shreds by hooks and chains, immortalizing 'Jesus wept.'
Captain Rhodes is split in half by the zombies.
Audition (1999)
Asami tortures her lover with needles and a sharped wire. Deeper, deeper...
The only horror film to ever make me puke, Detective Kerry meets her fate when a harness rips right through her rib cage.
Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Hannibal Lecter does what he knows best- takes a bite out of crime, steals someone's face, and escapes via bloodbath.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
Leatherface slams Pam down on a meat hook and puts her away in the freezer for later.
The Hills Have Eyes (1996)
As much as remakes kill me, the rape/murder scene in the trailer is pretty damn grotesque.
Wolf Creek (2005)
Liz's spine is severed and she succumbs to blood loss.
The Exorcist (1973)
Regan masturbates with a cross. It's so disgusting you almost can't take your eyes off the screen.
Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
Faye is raped and murdered by the villagers.
Friday the 13th Part II (1981)
Pre-hockey mask Jason slices the face of a wheel-chair bound teenager. Talk about a cock block.
Wildcard-- tell me what YOU think should be on the list!
Hurry- the clock is ticking! You only have until Friday, September 24th to share your thoughts!
Let the bloodbath begin!

Tough choice between Hatchet, Frontier(s), and High Tension, but I give it to Hatchet.
Where is the Dead Alive lawnmower scene?
So many good ones! A nasty as it'll ever be, my vote goes to the classic 'Exorcist'
One of my personal favorites didn't even make it up there. I was thinking the "glass death trap" in the movie Thirteen ghosts. Talk about a smashing good time! But, SAW is definitely one of my all-time favorites. I'm surprised you put High Tension on here. Most people have never seen that movie. Oh! I totally forgot, Bateman in American Psycho, nude chainsaw death!
Piranha 3D... the scalping scene was only bested by the woman who was BISECTED and died in the arms of her rescuer!
Crazy good film going and it was in 3D!
mch2k
I Actually gotta say, i think the best one was THE RACK in Saw 3... JigSaw's personal favorite ya know... hmm, come to think of it, as far as traps and gore and mutilation is concerned, that Saw was prolly the best one.
OK well Dead Alive's lawnmower scene does need to be on here! Maybe the one where his mom ate her ear too. Lol sick stuff. Also, what about that new movie, The Human Centipede?
My vote is the scene from Cabin Fever. My husband and I shared our first kiss to that movie. Been togther 7 years and married 3. :3 Gore brings a family together haha!
The decapitation with the bookcase in High Tension is my wildcard pick.
